Welcome to the Undercroft
As an undercroft is often
used for storage and also a place to meet, it is an appropriate name for an
operation that stores church and church-related web sites and encourages
meeting and communication.
Undercroft Network provides inexpensive web site
hosting and many free services to churches, parochial schools,
and church-related social-service agencies.
On April 1, 2009 a new solution to an old and recurring problem was implemented. After experiences with hosting company takeovers and
their customer support during their migrations, a new, much smaller hosting business
has emerged: Undercroft Network.
Two hosting plans are offered:

Maintained -
Web site is designed and
maintained by Undercroft Network with input from
your organization.
Presently, there
are no
openings for new Maintained web sites and there
is a short waiting list. This plan is intended primarily for
new sites and organizations that do not have personnel
available for web site maintenance.
Undercroft Network will maintain your web site
for six months or until January 1, 2011,
whichever is later, after which it will become a
Hosted-Only
site maintained by your organization. No more than 16 web sites
are hosted
at a time under this plan. To apply for one of these, you must have a web site key for
security. Click

to request one. The key will also be used when you
update your site.

received a web site key from Undercroft

Hosted -
All design and maintenance is done by
your organization with technical support for
hosting only. This plan gives you
immediate control of your site design, content
and email accounts through a control panel.
This plan is recommended for existing web sites
and those organizations with time and talent to
maintain a web site.

A
maintained site can, and is encouraged to, transfer
to a hosted-only plan at any time.
Although small in size and revenue, Undercroft Network
is big in features.
